Day 1 Geneva

In cosmopolitan Geneva, take our 2-hour city tour for a thorough overview, including a panoramic drive, view of the United Nations buildings and international organizations, and a ride on the mini-train.

Day 2 Geneva – Montreux

Drive to the youthful city of Lausanne, built on three hills. (drive distance: 45 min) Lausanne offers a multitude of museums, monuments and buildings. Our city tour shows you the port of Ouchy, with its lovely parks and lakeshore promenades and the city center, where shops, restaurants and cozy bistros lead up to the Cathedral. The surrounding ‘Cité’ testifies to the city’s rich history. (tour duration: 1 hr) Continue on to Montreux. (drive distance: 30 min) Time permitting, visit nearby Chateau de Chillon, and wander its fairytale-like grounds (re-opens in 2015 after renovation).

Day 3 Montreaux – Interlaken

Schedule a visit to Gruyeres (drive distance: 35 min), a picture-perfect medieval town on a hill, boasting a castle and three unique museums. Be sure to shop for some locally made chocolate or cheese, both of which give renown to Gruyeres. En route to Interlaken, perhaps visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lavaux Vineyards. Arrive Interlaken (drive distance: 1.5 hrs).

Day 4 Interlaken

Take our guided excursion to Jungfraujoch, “Top of Europe,” for an unforgettable experience. Jungfraujoch is a UNESCO World Heritage site boasting Europe's highest train station and other attractions. At the top, immerse yourself in the fascinating high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. Experience the “Alpine Sensation,” marking the 100th anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Take in breathtaking panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, neighboring countries and the Aletsch Glacier (tour duration: 6.45 hrs).

Day 5 Interlaken – Lucerne

Depart early to visit the old town in Berne en route to Lucerne (drive distance: 1 hr). Arrive in Lucerne in time to take our exciting excursion to Mt. Pilatus. It starts with a brief ride to Kriens. From there, board the gondola and aerial cableway, and travel upward to the top of Mt. Pilatus. Take in panoramic views from the mystical setting at the peak (tour duration: 5.20 hrs).

Day 6 Lucerne

Today, enjoy another alpine adventure on our tour to spectacular Mt. Titlis. From the revolving cable car ROTAIR, take in the beauty of the glacier’s deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders. At the top of Mt. Titlis (at 10,000 ft.), a dramatic panorama awaits. Visit the cool Ice Grotto, or take a ride on the chairlift IceFlyer, which brings you close to the crevasses. There's also the FunLift and Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge. After all this dizzying adventure, spend some time exploring the town of Lucerne too, where colorful houses and covered bridges will charm even the most jaded traveler (tour duration: 5.5 hrs).

Day 7 Lucerne – Zurich

Continue on to Zurich. (drive distance: 45 min) See the sights here on our Circle Tour, aboard the unique ‘Classic Trolley,’ as you listen to commentary on headset. (tour duration: 2 hrs) Following the city tour, board a modern lake cruise ship for a scenic 1.5 hour cruise on Lake Zurich, passing stately villas, picturesque villages perched on vineyard-clad hills, and local swimming areas. Spend the rest of the day exploring this trend-setting city. Zurich is a center of the arts, and teems with cool places for dining and shopping.

Day 8 Zurich

Enjoy more of dynamic Zurich, and take our half-day tour (morning or afternoon) to the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall, known for its impressive 150-meter width. The view from the bank of the Rhine is exquisite, with turreted Schloss Laufen on a cliff-top above the falls. Our tour also takes you to northern Switzerland to see Schaffhausen and the famed Munot Fortress, dating from the 16th century (tour duration: 3 hr, 15 min).

Day 9 Depart Zurich or extend your stay

Stay in Zurich an extra day or two, or perhaps visit Zermatt. See the iconic Matterhorn, said to be the world's most photographed mountain.
